Description

The MICH Level IIIA Aramid Ballistic Helmet combines extended mid-cut coverage with a durable aramid-fiber shell. The MICH profile provides additional protection around the front, sides, ears and rear of the head while maintaining compatibility with communication systems and other professional equipment.

Integrated side rails, a front NVG shroud and hook-and-loop panels provide a modular platform for compatible lights, cameras, headset adapters, patches and night-vision equipment. An adjustable padded liner and four-point retention system help improve helmet stability, pressure distribution and comfort during extended wear.

MICH Coverage

The mid-cut MICH profile provides increased coverage around the front, temples, sides, ears and rear of the head. Compared with a FAST high-cut helmet, the MICH design offers more coverage around the ear area while still supporting compatible communication and tactical equipment.

The helmet is not intended to protect the face, neck or areas of the head that remain outside the shell.

Fit and Comfort

The adjustable suspension and padded liner distribute the helmet’s weight across multiple contact points. The four-point retention system helps stabilize the helmet during movement, while the quick-release buckle allows convenient removal.

Available head circumference range:

• XL: 23.2–24.8 in (59–63 cm)

To determine the correct size, measure around the widest part of the head, approximately one inch above the eyebrows. The measuring tape should remain level and fit firmly without excessive pressure.

Care and Inspection

• Do not use bleach, solvents or abrasive cleaning products.
• Keep the helmet away from prolonged heat and direct sunlight.
• Store it in a cool, dry and well-ventilated environment.
• Inspect the shell, edge seal, rails, shroud, straps, buckle and padding before use.
• Replace the helmet following a ballistic impact or significant physical damage.
• Do not drill, cut, paint or otherwise modify the ballistic shell.
• Do not attach accessories that exceed the capacity of the mounting system.
• Follow the inspection and service-life guidance provided with the helmet.

Level IIIA is a handgun-rated protection level. This helmet is not rated to defeat rifle threats, including 5.56×45 mm, 7.62×39 mm or 7.62×51 mm ammunition.
