Description
The PASGT Level IIIA UHMWPE Ballistic Helmet combines extended head coverage, lightweight construction and an adjustable comfort system. Its traditional full-cut PASGT profile provides increased coverage around the forehead, temples, ears, sides and rear of the head.
The ballistic shell is manufactured from Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), offering a balance of ballistic performance, durability and reduced weight. An adjustable seven-pad liner helps distribute pressure across multiple contact points, while the four-point retention system supports a stable and secure fit.
Designed for professional security personnel, law enforcement agencies, military users and other authorized protective applications.

Technical Features
Lightweight UHMWPE Shell
The shell is constructed from high-strength UHMWPE to balance ballistic performance, structural durability and reduced weight. Its non-metallic construction is also resistant to corrosion.
Extended PASGT Coverage
The full-cut PASGT profile provides increased coverage around the front, sides, temples, ears and rear of the head. This traditional design is suitable for users who prioritize coverage over accessory-mounting space.
Adjustable Seven-Pad Comfort
A seven-pad liner and adjustable suspension system distribute helmet weight across multiple contact points. The pads help reduce localized pressure and improve comfort during extended wear.
Secure Four-Point Retention
The adjustable four-point chinstrap helps stabilize the helmet and reduce unwanted movement. Strap adjusters allow the wearer to center the retention system for a more secure fit.
Quick-Release Buckle
The quick-release buckle supports convenient donning and removal while helping keep the chinstrap securely fastened during normal use.
Moisture Management
Moisture-wicking liner materials help manage perspiration and improve comfort in warm or demanding environments. The internal design maintains space between the head and shell to support airflow.
Durable Exterior Finish
The textured exterior is designed to resist water, oil, vibration and routine field use. Its smooth, wipe-clean surface simplifies regular maintenance.
Ballistic Threat Performance
When tested under the conditions documented in the applicable laboratory report, this helmet is designed to resist the following handgun threats:
-
9 mm, 115 gr at 1,400 ft/s (428 m/s)
-
.357 SIG FMJ FN at 1,430 ft/s (435.8 m/s)
Ballistic performance is specific to the tested helmet model, shell construction, material, size and test conditions. Results should not be applied to a different model or configuration without supporting test documentation.
Fragmentation Performance
Reported fragmentation test results:
-
Fragment Simulating Projectile: 17 gr (1.1 g), .22-caliber FSP
-
Reported V50: 2,192 ft/s (668.1 m/s)
-
Highest Partial Penetration: 2,212 ft/s (674.2 m/s)
-
Lowest Complete Penetration: 2,172 ft/s (662.0 m/s)
V50 represents a statistical velocity at which complete and partial penetrations are expected to occur with equal probability under the specified test conditions. It is not a guaranteed protection threshold for every impact.
Fit and Sizing
Available head circumference ranges:
-
L: 21.6–23.2 in (55–59 cm)
-
XL: 23.2–24.8 in (59–63 cm)
How to Measure
Use a flexible measuring tape and measure around the widest part of the head, approximately one inch above the eyebrows and above the ears.
For the best fit:
-
Select the size that matches your measured head circumference.
-
Position the helmet level on the head.
-
Adjust the suspension and pads to remove excessive movement.
-
Center the chinstrap beneath the chin.
-
Tighten each strap evenly without creating uncomfortable pressure.
-
Confirm that the helmet does not shift excessively when the head moves.
If your measurement falls between two sizes, consider the thickness of the installed pads and any headwear used beneath the helmet.
